AUTHENTIC & RARE 1920 LEYENDECKER FASHION POSTER BOYS PLAYING MARBLES. RIGHT POSTURE FASHION POSTER. Younger brother of Joseph C. Leyendecker who passed away early in life with a limited output of Artwork left behind. One of his last commissions before his death in 1923 was illustrating ads for “Right Posture” Boys Clothes. These were for the Snellingburg Clothing Company of Philadelphia and New York. NOTE: This is one of two poster from the set, the other pictures boys playing “BASEBALL” and is listed separately! These ads appeared full page in large magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post in 1920 as well as Fashion Catalogs that carried this line of Boys Clothing. “Boys Playing Baseball” large 19″ x 25″ showing four smartly dressed boys playing marbles. Leyendecker bottom left and in uncirculated never framed condition. Show with original ad for “Right Posture” clothes which comes with sale. Probably printed for display in Stores carrying the clothing line or made as Posters to frame for a young Boys room.
