Ruffino Chianti Riserva Ducale Gold. Vintage Handmade Ruffino Chianti Wood Wine Box. Firenze on the side. Held 6 pint – 8oz bottles. 13″ x 11″ x 7 1/4. Metal link chain holds the lid open. Ornate metal closure and hinges. Handmade and hand hammered hardware. Dates back to the foundation of the United States to a man named Jacob Schieffelin. Business grew, acquisitions happened and soon prohibition was in full force and Schieffelin’s imports turned to alcohol for medicinal purposes. It was in this way that the 125-year-old drug wholesaler developed a thriving new wine and spirit business. Has evolved to Schieffelin & Somerset Co. And still imports and sells alcohol. This box is in good condition with the chain attaching the lid to the box. Fine quality craftsmanship from the early 1980’s.

It is not mark. It is in pre owned, very good condition. Two Color paint is original with some fleas and dirty spots, will definitely benefit from good cleaning. Looks like it has been used but no major defects. Compartments are relatively clean and opens nicely. It is approximately 12 1/2 tall with legs and handle. The box with compartments is approximately 17 1/2″ long (from handle to handle) x 7 3/4″ wide and 7 7/8 tall. Nice addition to sewing boxes collection. All items I sell come from the secondary market (Auctions, Flea Markets, Yard Sales, Private Collection and Thrift Stores) Occasionally I will find something in new condition, but most antique or collectables will have normal expected wear for their age. My home is smoke – free. All items are guaranteed to be as described in honest representation.
